About Us
OUR SCHOOL
Occold Primary School is situated in the village of Occold mid way between the towns of Eye and Debenham in an attractive part of High Suffolk. There is little new build within the village boundaries and some of our children live outside the catchment area.
The school is a co-educational day school taking pupils from the villages of Occold, Bedingfield, and part of Kenton. At the age of 11+ children from Bedingfield normally transfer to Debenham High School, and Occold children to Hartismere High School at Eye.
The school occupies an attractive Victorian building, which has been extended to provide more accommodation. We have four classrooms, a dedicated Foundation area, an activity area, office, stores room, kitchen, cloakrooms and staff room. The school has a tarmac surface playground, access to the village playing field and village hall opposite, and to the Jubilee Baptist Church.
The following video, made by our children in 2017 for a school in Uganda we support, will give you a flavour of our school.
