Play at lunchtime often takes place over in the Village Community Field, during the Summer months it is important for children to have a sun hat and cream. During the winter a pair of named welly-boots is essential. There is a 15-minute playtime in the morning for the whole school, during which a healthy fruit snack may be eaten and a 15-minute playtime in the afternoon for Rabbit Class. The fresh fruit for Key Stage 1 comes as part of a Government initiative and children under 5 years old receive free milk as part of the European School Milk Scheme, parents can also opt for milk to be continued beyond this by paying an amount direct to the Cool Milk Scheme.
The pupils' learning week for Years R-2 is 22 hours including RE but excluding the statutory act of worship, registration and breaks (including lunch) and 23 hours 15 minutes for Years 3 - 6.
